The notes treat Judaism and Zionism as a real-time laboratory where the West's deepest political question is being settled: is a polity an ethnos to be protected or an econo-zone to be managed for shareholders? Israel is the front line of that fight, and is itself splitting into two — a liberal "State of Israel" and a supremacist, theocratic "Kingdom of Judea." The author admires Netanyahu as a model of unapologetic ethnic self-defense, distinguishes ordinary "Jews" from "Zionists" from "Zoggers" who monetize Jewish fear, treats the Holocaust as a quasi-religion ("Holocaustianity") that licenses redistribution, and reads Jewish supremacism as a tribal frame that Catholicism inverts and universalizes — the "anti-judaizer" move. A new and sharper formulation now runs alongside these: Zionism is a self-regulating Protestantism — a modification of Mosaic law outside both the Catholic Magisterium and Orthodox rabbinical authority — and "dual covenant Protestantism" (Americanism + Zionism) is the operative theology of contemporary globalism. Christianity, particularly post-Vatican-II Catholicism, is the only durable answer to both Jewish chosenness and globalist universalism — alongside, not against, Torah-observant Orthodox Judaism. The liturgical year supplies the lived form of that partnership: the Catholic and Jewish calendars trace the same annual arc. A recent capture states what the partnership actually obliges: the Church must protect the Jew who follows the law and chooses non-violence, and owes nothing to the one who chooses compromise and violence. The most recent capture supplies the widest frame the article carries: the closure of prophecy at Malachi, and the Cyrus option that follows from it.
Ethno-zone vs. econo-zone — Israel as front line
The master frame: every modern polity is forced to be either an ethnos with priorities and obligations toward its own, or an econo-zone managed for the returns of dispersed shareholders. The two are incompatible long-term, and Israel has become the front line where the West watches the question played out openly. (raw/keep/first-the-came-for-the-jews.md)
"Maybe people think that the Jews have too much influence on American politics but it's really the other way around. America outsources its civil discourse to the Jews to road test and refine. We make the Jews fight the battle so we don't have to. The poor Jews are so easily frightened and excitable that they do it without realizing the costs to their peace and sanity." —
raw/keep/first-the-came-for-the-jews.md
Team econo-zone wants Israel as a Disneyland-for-Jews liberal democracy on the Tel Aviv model. Team ethno-zone wants Jewish ethnic priority on the Masada / Ben-Gvir model. Inside the econo-zone's rules, dominant-culture ethnic solidarity is prohibited as such. So team ethno-zone always loses unless it succeeds in flipping the regime. Israel is the laboratory because its founding population had to choose; America's heritage population is in the same predicament a generation later.
The Israel / Judea split
Israel has split into two incompatible Jewish states and is in slow-motion civil war (raw/keep/this-independence-day-israel-has-split-into-two-incompatible-jewish-states.md, raw/keep/2025-04-15t10-48-16-606-04-00.md, raw/keep/israeli-civil-war.md):
| State of Israel | Kingdom of Judea | |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Secular, liberal, high-tech | Messianic, supremacist, theocratic |
| Geographical center | Tel Aviv | Masada / settlements |
| Theological tradition | Hillel (universalist) | Chabad (particularist) |
| Demographic core | Ashkenazi, Western | Sephardi, Mizrahi, Christian-Zionist allies |
| Political sympathy | Democrat / liberal-internationalist | Trump / Christian Zionist / Republican |
| Christian analogue | Anglican / Catholic-universalist | Puritan / dispensationalist-supremacist |
"Israel gradually but inexorably being divided into the State of Israel — a high-tech, secular, outward-looking, imperfect but liberal state — and the Kingdom of Judea, a Jewish-supremacist, ultranationalist theocracy with messianic, antidemocratic tendencies." — quoted by
raw/keep/this-independence-day-israel-has-split-into-two-incompatible-jewish-states.md
The Israeli civil war maps onto Catholic / Protestant / Puritan structurally: universalists (Ashkenazi European-style high culture), supremacists (nationalist ethno-state), theocrats (restored Kingdom of Judea under Torah). The pattern repeats: every dominant culture eventually fractures along universalist / supremacist / theocratic lines once the external pressure that held it together relaxes.
Zionism as self-regulating Protestantism
A more developed version of the structural critique now appears in the corpus. Zionism is a self-regulating Protestantism because it modifies Mosaic law outside the Catholic Magisterium and outside Orthodox rabbinical authority — the two legitimate interpretive systems for a single-covenant Mosaic order. (raw/inbox/2026-05-08t11-27-01-120z-there-is-no-church-without-the-law-of-moses-and-you-can-t-mo.md)
The structure:
- The conciliar process is how Mosaic law legitimately develops — through the Holy Spirit working through a council, summoned by a Roman Emperor or, in his absence, by the Pope.
- Orthodox rabbinical authorities interpret the same law in the absence of a Sanhedrin and a third temple, awaiting the Messiah.
- Zionism modifies the inheritance outside both — through a 19th-century revolutionary nationalism, a 20th-century state-building project, and a post-Shoah civic theology. It is therefore structurally Protestant: a private innovation that claims continuity with a magisterial deposit it does not actually submit to.
The cultural verdict that follows is sharp: Zionism creates "an ethnic identity that exists as a reaction to its oppressor or opponent," not a national identity based on a continuous experience defined by an evolving tradition in an ongoing location. Reactive identity rather than evolved identity. The long history of European Jewry — Mendelssohn, Mahler, the Yiddish corpus, the great rabbinical academies, Vienna 1880–1938 — carries infinitely more depth as an actual nation than the Zionist project. Tel Aviv, on this reading, "is a kind of Disneyland created out of the ashes of a tragic twentieth century" — a Jewish-Mickey-Mouse substitute that will never be nineteenth-century Vienna.
This is consistent with the older raw/keep/satan-s-useful-idiots.md reading of Zionism as golden-calf nationalism that distracts Jews from their universalist truth-shepherd vocation. The new formulation supplies the structural mechanism: Zionism is to Torah-observant Judaism what Protestantism is to Catholicism — a private modification of the deposit that severs itself from the conciliar / rabbinical body that alone can legitimately develop it.
Real Judaism and the Judeo-Protestant substitute
A recent capture supplies the strongest positive account of Torah-observant Judaism the corpus carries, and then names precisely what displaces it (raw/inbox/2026-07-17t06-15-45-943z-big-mess-of-thoughts.md).
Real Judaism is the most demanding faith, on account of its 613 rules that must either be followed or be died for when one is prevented from following them. After the collapse of the temple, roughly four hundred of those commandments remain keepable, depending on time, place, and circumstance, while the Jews remain in exile. Real Judaism seeks to do its own thing and chooses death over compromise in all cases. It does not seek converts, because it knows that God chose the Jewish people and gave them the most demanding job that pays horribly and usually ends in death. The Jews, as God's chosen people, are required to follow the commandments; where they cannot, they must be willing to die; and they are not allowed to fight back or engage in violence. Nobody willingly signs up for this unless he is born into it. Christ opened the door by updating the rules through revelation, without relaxing the requirement to die for the truth.
Against this stands the Judeo-Protestant, who fails to practice Judaism because being one of God's chosen is genuinely hard and thankless, and who instead engages in opposing the universalism of catholicity — read here as the fulfillment of that chosenness, a covenant that permits occasional updates to the rules while still requiring one to die for them. Three substitutions replace the observance, and they are the same three the article already tracks in the dual-covenant reading:
- Advantage for elites — making the rules work for one's own.
- Protection of members from criminal prosecution — insider immunity as a reward for loyalty.
- A debased and decadent version of the culture that can be easily monetized through low-effort experiences — birthright Israel trips are the named instance — appealing to a sense of guilt and a desire for belonging.
The generalization is the article's compact statement of the re-covenant business model, developed in american-religion as the Judeo-Protestant playbook: propose an improved system, offer financial and regulatory advantage plus insider protection as the reward for loyalty, and create low-effort cultural products that appeal to addictive desires for stimulation and belonging. Every such religion produces eternal conflicts that eventually end in collapse, and the economic name for the result is capitalism — an ideology that assigns the revelation of truth to whoever can best manipulate the price signal through financial engineering, wage suppression, and brand management.
The blame mechanism and the Catholic protection test
The same capture states the political function of the arrangement and then draws a line the single-covenant frame had implied without ever specifying.
The blame mechanism: the Judeo-Protestants want us to blame the Jews for all the problems in the world, because as God's chosen people real Jews are commanded to suffer while providing no opposition to their oppression. Having arranged the blame, the Judeo-Protestants can then set themselves up as the defenders of the Jews — which is the office that supplies the coalition with its standing justification, and the same protection-racket structure the compendium diagnoses elsewhere in identity politics generally (race-identity-immigration).
The correction is the sharpest thing the article carries about what the single-covenant partnership actually obliges. The real defenders of the actual Jews chosen by God to follow the law, and required to die before they fight back, should be the Catholics. And the test is stated as a simple conditional: if, as a Jew, you follow the law and choose non-violence, then the Catholic Church must do everything it can to protect you. Once you choose the path of compromise and violence you become the enemy of truth — in religious terms a Judeo-Protestant, in secular terms a Leninist, a Maoist, or a Menshevik (which the capture glosses as the liberal Anglican) — and the Catholic Church has no business defending you.
Three things follow, and the second and third are uncomfortable.
The article's trajectory has for some time noted that it had a rich account of who the kin are and almost nothing on what the partnership does beyond recognizing itself in a shared calendar. This is the missing content: a duty of protection owed by the Church to the observant non-violent Jew, and an explicit limit on that duty. It is the practical form of the co-guardianship claim, and it makes the partnership an obligation rather than an affinity.
But the test conditions Catholic protection on another community's fidelity to its own law, which no institution can administer without adjudicating halakhic observance from outside — the adjudication gap the compendium keeps meeting under other names (catholicity on who recognizes contrition, localism-and-federalism on who defines imbalance). A protection that must first certify the protected is a protection with a gatekeeper.
And it cuts directly against the article's own admiration for Netanyahu. Unapologetic ethnic self-defense, doing whatever it takes to make sure one's people survive and prosper, is precisely the path of compromise and violence that forfeits protection on this test. The corpus can hold that Zionism is medicinal for Christianity and fatal for Jews; it cannot easily hold both that Netanyahu is the model of a leader who defends his people and that the Church owes nothing to a Jew who fights back. The article records the collision rather than resolving it, and notes that the protection test is the first formulation in the corpus that makes the admiration theologically costly rather than merely awkward.
Cyrus or Jesus: the closure of prophecy and the guardian question
A recent capture states what it treats as the unresolved question of the French Revolution, and in doing so gives the article its widest frame yet (raw/inbox/2026-07-24t06-43-08-113z-cyrus-or-jesus.md): can secular authority, with its inevitable violence and totalitarian method, be used to shift the home of the Holy Spirit from the Roman Church to a restored body of prophets and judges of Israel?
The premise is that the Jewish Messiah and the person of Jesus Christ firmly established the home of the Spirit in his church, which continues today as the Roman Catholic Church, and that despite schism, heresy, revolution, and a variety of other attempts to destroy her ability to reveal the Spirit, she continues to possess and maintain that role. What she lacks is a protector — an emperor who can guard her as Cyrus guarded the prophets of Israel. The open question is therefore who can play the role of Cyrus and guard the temple of the Holy Spirit. (catholicity develops the vacancy from the Church's side; the-logos-machine develops it as the vessel's missing hull.)
The oscillation and the manufactured kingmakers
The capture reads the history of Israel as an oscillation between four constitutional forms, beginning with the theosophy at Mount Sinai and running as a process of idolatry and restoration until the fulfillment of the law in Christ: Moses and Joshua, then the Judges, then Saul, David, Solomon, and the Temple, then Christ. The judges are initially raised up by God to lead Israel away from the idolatry it fell into after the Exodus under Joshua, whom Moses appointed. Kingship then emerges not from divine initiative but from the demand of the people for a king; God warns them that kings do not work but lets them try anyway; and it ends badly when the line of David becomes corrupt.
The constitutional observation is the sharp one, and it is about how the kingmaking offices came to exist. Samuel anoints David and thereby establishes the process of succession; David then makes Nathan his court prophet so that there is an authority competent to anoint Solomon; and Solomon in turn appoints Zadok priest. The kingmaker roles, in other words, are created by David and Solomon in order to legitimize the state and its succession — the prophet and the priest who authorize the king are the king's own institutions. The great coronation anthem has Zadok anointing Solomon; the reality is that Solomon appointed Zadok first. Anglicanism reproduces the same inversion, since the king appoints the Archbishop of Canterbury who then anoints the king. (islam develops the inversion as the caliphal fusion of king and pope.)
Christ's kingship is read as the fulfillment that ends the oscillation, because it restores the separation between judge and king inside the church rather than inside a state — which is the second of the two amendments the Messiah makes to the law of Moses. (catholicity develops the first, mercy in place of sacrifice, and the atonement mechanism from which the separation follows.)
The closure of prophecy
Against that background, rabbinical Judaism is read as a logical attempt to restore the role of the judges as the authority over the people of Israel, and thereby to reject both the formal separation of church and state and the extension of the Israel franchise to all humanity. The difficulty is mechanical rather than doctrinal: there is no way to ascertain the validity of prophetic wisdom. Prophecy ends with Malachi, the last of the twelve, in the fifth century BC — when Israel was under the rule of the Persian king Cyrus. This departure of the Spirit from Israel means there is no way to update the law outside technocratic interpretation, which is very limited.
Two exits therefore remain. Either the prophetic era is restored under some kind of legitimate state authority — which rabbinical Judaism itself recognizes as impossible, since there are no prophets to anoint a king — or the Messiah arrives and sorts everything out. The traditional and licit option is the second: keep the law as best one can and wait. This is the article's sharpest structural statement of what the third door of the-logos-machine actually costs the tradition that holds it.
The Zionist bid and the Cyrus option
Modern Zionism rejects the rabbinic verdict. It seeks, through an American-led world order, to usher in a new prophetic era on the reasoning that the stability supplied by a foreign king would give ancient Israel the political conditions required for the restoration of some yet-to-emerge body of judges, and thereafter of prophets. This is the same structural move the article already names as self-regulating Protestantism, now with its motive made explicit: the Zionist state is not the end but the precondition of a restored mechanism for updating the law.
The obstacle is the Roman Church. Because she maintains a home for the Spirit, she can legitimately claim the prophetic role under a secular world order — which means that for Zionism to restore the prophetic era in Israel, the Church would have to be destroyed. And that is precisely what Jewish law forbids, since Judaism prohibits violence and aggression against other peoples. On the tradition's own terms the option is therefore closed, and the capture's conclusion is the conservative one: keep the law and wait for the Messiah.
The danger the capture names is that Zionist ideology opens the door to somebody else doing it. A new Cyrus the Great, not being subject to the law, could destroy the Roman Church and thereby allow the Spirit to abandon Rome and re-enter the ancient people of Israel, establishing a new prophetic era and solving the problem of how the law gets updated. The named candidate vehicles are the American political experiment, the European Union, Chinese communism, technocratic globalism, and perhaps a multi-ethnic secular Russian empire — and the operative hope is that secular power can be induced to do what the law will not permit. (empire-and-geopolitics carries the candidate powers; american-religion carries the re-covenant logic that reads the destruction of a competing covenant's source as the point.)
The frame's most useful feature is that it makes the same figure guardian and destroyer. Cyrus protected the prophets of Israel; a new Cyrus would extinguish the Church that succeeded them. Whoever answers the guardian question therefore also answers the destroyer question, and the Church has no vote in which answer is given.
Four kinds of modern Jew
The capture also offers a fourfold typology of contemporary Jewry, and the article records it as the author records it:
- The heretics — the settlers and the third-temple people.
- The assimilated — those who like bagels and celebrate Passover.
- The religious — those who try to follow all the ancient rules.
- The communists — those who want to destroy everything and start again.
This sits alongside the article's two other typologies (the Israel / Judea split, and the real-Judaism against Judeo-Protestant pair) and is not obviously reducible to either. Its useful feature is that it places the third-temple project on the heretical rather than the pious side, which is consistent with the closure-of-prophecy argument: a temple restored without prophets restores the priest without restoring the mechanism.
Mercy demands one state
The same capture applies the mercy-not-sacrifice principle directly to the Palestinian question, and reaches a conclusion the rest of the article does not. Restitution under the halakhic model permits the wronged party to be paid to go away; mercy requires that the person one has wronged be genuinely included in one's community. Read onto the map: the two-state solution allows the Jews to pay the Arabs to go away and hope everything will be all right, while the one-state approach forces everybody to get along inside the same political system.
The article should not soften what this does to its own positions. On the author's own theology, the merciful settlement is the single state, and the two-state solution is the sacrificial one. That collides head-on with the corpus's hardened resettle-in-Libya proposal and with the thirty-percent arithmetic in war-and-violence, both of which are payment-to-go-away in a harsher currency. The collision is recorded below.
Dual covenant Protestantism: Americanism + Zionism
The natural extension. Dual-covenant theology creates two new magisteria that replace the single magisterium of the Catholic Church: an American magisterium rooted in the positive law of the Constitution, and a Zionist magisterium rooted in the laws of the modern State of Israel and a post-Shoah theology of oppression and anti-fascism. (raw/inbox/2026-05-08t11-27-01-120z-there-is-no-church-without-the-law-of-moses-and-you-can-t-mo.md)
The political logic of the dual covenant:
- Americanism plays the role of state — a positive-law magisterium that defines who has rights under law without natural-law constraint.
- Zionism plays the role of church — a chosenness-cult that supplies the sacred dimension Americanism cannot.
- America needs Zionism because the American imperial state requires a sacred legitimating frame, and the old European church-state pairing is no longer available. Zionism is the church to Americanism's state.
- The logical objective of dual-covenant Protestantism is therefore the destruction of the people who guard the single covenant: the 613-law Torah-observant Jews and the Catholics under the conciliar Magisterium. Both are obstacles to a positive-law regime that wants to define rights from scratch.
- Dual-covenant Protestantism is structurally an anti-Islamist Islam: it organizes submission to the state-as-guardian-of-the-covenant, mirroring the Caliphate model while opposing its overt Islamic form. Islamism is the pale imitation; American-Zionist civic theology is the high-functioning original.
This reframes american-religion's "American Islam" thesis without contradicting it. CN and IIP are state-enforcing faiths; Americanism + Zionism is the more developed dual-covenant theology underneath both. CN inherits the Zionist chosenness move via Christian Zionism; IIP inherits the positive-law universalist move via civil-rights jurisprudence. Both are descendants of the same dual-covenant logic.
The destruction-target follows: Orthodox Judaism and Roman Catholicism alike "conflict ideologically with the state's need to positively determine who has rights under the law" because both insist on natural law / Mosaic law constraints the positive-law magisterium cannot accept. The traditional protector of "Mosaic Catholicism" — the imperial monarch restraining local oligarchs and elected parliaments — is precisely what the dual-covenant order replaces, and precisely the office the Cyrus question above finds vacant.
Israel as domestic shield; the useful opposition
A recent capture pushes the dual-covenant analysis from theology into political mechanics (raw/inbox/2026-06-22t04-27-20-316z-veritas.md). Its flat opening claim is that dual-covenant ideology dominates the culture — not as one theological option among several but as the operative civic religion of the American dominant class, which the capture names a Zionist/Protestant fusion, a fourth Klan politely called Judeo-Christianity. (american-religion develops the fusion and its two wings.)
Within that frame, Israel acquires a function the corpus's older proxy analysis does not fully capture. Israel is read not primarily as an imperial asset abroad but as the state that protects the fourth Klan from domestic political pressure — an external sovereign whose existence and needs supply a permanent, non-negotiable justification for domestic arrangements (speech restrictions, federal transfers, coalition discipline) that could not survive open argument on their own merits.
The complement is the useful opposition. Hamas, the Houthis, and Hezbollah are read as the enemies whose existence justifies continued political support for the coalition's objectives — opposition that is functionally useful precisely because it never threatens the arrangement it appears to oppose. The domestic mirror of the same device is the label "domestic terrorism," applied to all attempts to advance freedom of speech and assembly, states' rights, and pluralism. Abroad the useful enemy licenses support; at home the terrorist label licenses suppression; both run on the same emergency logic. (strategy-and-power develops the labeling war and the emergency frame; islam develops the Hamas-as-Roundheads reading, which is compatible — both hold that the visibly Islamic actor is structurally not Islamic.)
The neocon wing's specific program follows: make criticism of Zionism illegal, drive massive federal redistribution toward friends and causes, and support replacement migration in the form of wage-suppressing foreign workers dependent on state subsidies. Its mirror-image on the left pursues the same three objectives with different targets. Both produce clienteles that depend on them economically — the neocon's career striver who must espouse the right beliefs to keep his employment, the left's state-funded worker or benefit recipient who must stay loyal to the redistribution system. (race-identity-immigration develops the two clienteles.)
The shared liturgical year
The single-covenant kinship is not only structural-magisterial but lived-liturgical. The Catholic and Jewish calendars trace the same arc through the year, often appearing as opposites only because of how they have been narrated separately. (raw/inbox/2026-05-06t19-20-54-862z-there-is-nothing-more-jewish-than-catholicism-since-it-took-.md)
- End of summer / harvest — Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Christ the King opening Advent, and the American Thanksgiving share the structure of gratitude for the year and hope for the next. The harvest new year is the same human gesture in three vocabularies.
- Mid-winter / light in darkness — Sukkot remembers hope in the wandering; Christmas celebrates peace on earth; Hanukkah and the twelve days of Christmas both count days, gifts, and lights.
- Return of spring / preparation — Purim and Mardi Gras open the period of reflection that runs through Elul / Lent. Yom Kippur and Good Friday close it. Self-examination before atonement is the shared structure.
- Deliverance — Passover and Easter coincide on the calendar and share the theme of deliverance from oppression.
- Revelation of the law — Shavuot and Pentecost both mark the giving of the law: Torah at Sinai, the Holy Spirit who reveals the voice of God in councils of the Church.
- Sabbath and the Lord's Day — never to be celebrated on the same day, but met in the Friday-night table. The challah is manna for the fleeing captives and the living bread of heaven that fulfills the law; the Kiddush is the prayer of those who have inherited creation.
The lived inference: the Catholic Church becomes more welcoming to Jews, and Christians come to see Judaism as the foreshadowing of their own reality, when these shared structures are recognized rather than denied. (catholicity) This is the embodied form of the single-covenant partnership that the dual-covenant Protestant theology obscures.
Holocaustianity and the hate-speech war
The Holocaust is treated as a structural inversion of Christianity — a pseudo-religion with dogmas, saints (Anne Frank), prophets (Wiesel), rituals, and heresy laws against deniers. (raw/keep/words.md)
"Holocaustianity portrays Holocaust remembrance as a pseudo-religion with dogmas… saints (e.g., Anne Frank), prophets (e.g., Elie Wiesel)… It inverts Christian values like love to hate, truth to lies, for political dominance, victim status, and reparations." —
raw/keep/words.md
The structural inversion: Christian forgiveness becomes retribution; truth becomes dogma; love becomes hate; openness becomes coercion. The political payoff is dominance, victim status, and reparations.
A connected observation: Jewish ethnic solidarity is permitted in the West only in the mode of oppression (Hitler / Holocaust). The moment it expresses itself as Zionism (Netanyahu / Greater Israel), the same media and academic apparatus that polices anti-Semitism turns the rhetoric the other direction. The "fixation with Hitler" is, on this reading, the only allowable path to ethnic solidarity inside the econo-zone — which is why it is policed so vigorously and so paradoxically. (raw/keep/first-the-came-for-the-jews.md)
The hate-speech fight in Congress is read as a fight between Zionist nationalists and globalist communists over who controls the speech regulator (raw/keep/what-is-hate-speech.md):
- Zionist definition of anti-semitism: denial of Jewish national identity. Permits group ethnic solidarity universally; protects Israel as legitimate ethno-state.
- Globalist definition: marginalization of an oppressed identity. Permits group identity only for designated victims; bans dominant-culture ethnic solidarity.
The structural mirror is the English Civil War — supremacism vs. universalism — playing out inside American Jewish politics. The fourth-Klan reading complicates this by arguing that the two definitions are wings of one movement rather than genuine antagonists: both end in a speech code, and the quarrel is over who administers it.
The quota trap
If the Jewish lobby pushes hate-speech laws too hard, civil-rights logic catches Jews as overrepresented, and Claudine-Gay-style figures will trade quotas for protection. The smart move, on this reading, is to shut up and smile and protect the meritocracy — a classical assimilationist position that the more aggressive Zionist current rejects. (raw/keep/what-is-hate-speech.md)
The Talmud, Torah, and Jewish particularism
The notes engage Talmudic content directly, with an unflinching catalogue of contemptuous gentile law: gentiles are not people, gentile children may be killed, deceiving a gentile is permitted, Jesus boils in poop in hell. (raw/keep/talmud-good-bits.md, raw/keep/cultural-competition.md)
"One of the reasons people dislike Roman Catholics so much is that they are the anti-judaizers since they apply the supremacist logic of Judaism universally, thus inverting it… a Jew could become a saint outside the church but Jews will never be Catholics." —
raw/keep/cultural-competition.md
The structural argument: chosen-people religions treat supremacy as inheritance — you are or you aren't. Catholicism inverts the move by treating supremacy as orientation toward truth — anyone can become Catholic; not everyone does. The Catholic project is the "anti-judaizer" because it applies the universalist supremacy move to all peoples, recruiting the best of every culture rather than excluding them. (catholicity)
The single-covenant reframing now sits alongside this: Catholicism and Torah-observant Judaism are joint guardians of one Mosaic covenant — Catholics by conciliar interpretation in light of fulfillment, Orthodox by rabbinical interpretation awaiting the Messiah. The "anti-judaizer" inversion is therefore directed against tribal supremacism (the Zionist / dual-covenant move) rather than against the Torah-observant remnant.
A related typology: "Live by the law or die on the cross" names the Jewish particularist halakhic ethic against the Christian crucifixion ethic. Jewish ethics keeps the body alive by keeping the law; Christian ethics accepts bodily death to break the cycle of retribution. The political consequence: a halakhic polity will defend itself, including by killing 30% of opposing fighting-age males if necessary; a Christian polity will accept terrible costs to break a cycle of vengeance. The author respects the first more than he likes it. (raw/keep/live-by-the-law-or-die-on-the-cross.md, raw/keep/why-america-should-support-netanyahu-in-israel.md)
The protection test above cuts hard across this typology, and the Cyrus capture cuts the same way: it asserts flatly that Judaism forbids violence and aggression against other peoples, which is why the destruction of the Roman Church is closed to Zionism on the tradition's own terms. On the older reading, halakhic self-defense is the licit Jewish ethic and the cross is the Christian one; on the newer, non-violence is itself commanded of the Jew, and the Jew who fights back has departed from the law rather than followed it. Both readings are in the corpus and they are not compatible: one has the Torah-observant polity defending itself as a matter of law, the other has the Torah-observant Jew forbidden to fight and owed protection precisely because he will not.
Maimonides-following 613-law conservative Jews are described as "harmless and quite interesting." The villainy named is not Torah-observant Judaism but Reform Judaism that drops the law and collapses into Arian / Unitarian Protestantism on a Jewish substrate, then into chosenness-nationalism via the Holocaust and Zionism. (raw/keep/talmud-good-bits.md, raw/keep/universalism-and-exceptionalism.md) The new dual-covenant frame strengthens this: Zionism is the political extension of the same Protestant move Reform Judaism makes theologically.
Jewish group strategy in the West
The notes argue that Jewish in-group advantage in Europe combines IQ with a "female group strategy": in-group trust, nepotism, baiting-into-hazard, victim positioning. Europeans are vulnerable because their first principle is individual sovereignty and free will — they cannot recognize a coordinated group strategy operating through nominally individual choices. (raw/keep/negative-strategies.md)
The Cofnas counter — emulate the discipline, don't resent it — appears in tension with this analysis: same behavior, two valences, no resolution. The synthesis the article preserves: the strategy is real; resentment is a losing response; emulation requires the same group discipline Europeans have lost. (raw/keep/cofnas-video.md)
Catholicism as the inversion of Jewish supremacy — and Orthodox Judaism as kin
Catholicism's universalism is not pluralism. It takes the same supremacy logic — there is one truth; it is not a matter of taste; it must be propagated — and applies it universally rather than tribally. Vatican II / Lumen Gentium 16 makes this maturity explicit: salvation is possible outside the visible Church, but the Church alone holds the fullness of truth. (catholicity)
The Catholic position thus answers both rivals: against Jewish chosenness in its Zionist form, it offers chosenness available to all in Christ; against globalist universalism, it preserves a substantive truth-claim rather than dissolving into procedure. "Many mansions, one truth" is the operative phrase. (raw/keep/zionism-will-save-christianity-from-liberalism.md)
The single-covenant reframing now adds a partner: Orthodox Judaism is Catholicism's structural kin, not its rival. Both guard a single Mosaic covenant, one through conciliar interpretation under fulfillment in Christ, the other through rabbinical interpretation in the absence of a third temple. Both stand against dual-covenant Protestantism — the Americanism-Zionism axis that wants to replace conciliar truth with positive law and rabbinical interpretation with state messianism. The "destruction of the people who guard the 613 laws" and "the destruction of the people who guard the Magisterium" are, on this reading, the same project pursued by the same dual-covenant theology — and the Cyrus option is that project stated as a hope rather than as a policy. The shared liturgical year is the lived form of this partnership; the protection test is its enforceable clause.
Netanyahu as model, Zionism as verdict on liberalism
The author admires Netanyahu unreservedly as a model of unapologetic ethnic self-defense (raw/keep/suggestion-and-question.md):
"As a heritage American, who doesn't particularly enjoy the company of most Jewish people, why wouldn't I deeply admire a guy like Benjamin Netanyahu? He's doing whatever it takes to make sure that his people survive and prosper. Obviously he's taking massive advantage of America in the process but we're letting him do that. Rather than blame him, shouldn't we blame ourselves for being retarded and use the opportunity to force a change." —
raw/keep/suggestion-and-question.md
Putin is the parallel — another ethno-state leader confronting liberal universalism without apology. The American tragedy is that the heritage population has no Netanyahu, no Putin, no figure willing to demand unconditional surrender and kill until he gets what he wants. (raw/keep/netanyahu-and-putin.md, raw/keep/why-america-should-support-netanyahu-in-israel.md)
But Zionism is also read as the Jews worshipping a golden calf (raw/keep/satan-s-useful-idiots.md):
"Like the Jews worshipped that golden calf the Zionists today worship the idol of Nationalism… Nationalism is the golden calf that distracts the Jews from their destiny to be shepherds of the truth." —
raw/keep/satan-s-useful-idiots.md
The two readings now sit inside a sharper structure: Zionism is medicinal for Christianity (raw/keep/zionism-will-save-christianity-from-liberalism.md — it purges liberalism by reinstating ethno-state legitimacy) but spiritually fatal for Jews (it is the Protestant secession from Torah-observant Judaism, the golden-calf nationalism that breaks the single covenant). The Zionist who admires Netanyahu and the Catholic who insists on the single covenant can agree about the immediate political utility while disagreeing fundamentally about the long-term theological cost. The protection test makes that disagreement concrete rather than merely temporal: on it, the Church's duty runs to the Jew who will not fight, and not to the one who will. The Cyrus reading makes it structural: a Zionism that requires a foreign king to restore its prophets is a Zionism whose logic terminates in the destruction of the Church that Christianity would need Zionism to save it from liberalism for.
Adjacent claims
- Epstein has become a coded permission slip — "a way to say Israel in polite society" — to criticize Israeli political activity without being called anti-semitic. (
raw/keep/deceit.md) - The Republican-Jewish realignment dates from James Baker's "fuck the Jews" pivot under Bush 41; the modern alignment of evangelical / Republican / Jewish-Zionist coalitions is downstream of that breach. (
raw/keep/trump-baker.md) - Two-state / resettlement evolves over time in the corpus from a soft Israeli-occupation-with-eventual-Palestinian-power model (
raw/keep/world-peace-and-prosperity-organisation.md) to a hard kill-30%-and-resettle-in-Libya frame (raw/keep/why-america-should-support-netanyahu-in-israel.md,raw/keep/head-heart-hands.md). The hardening is itself a finding, and the mercy reading above now runs directly against it. - AIPAC, ADL, Republican Jewish Coalition are named as theatrical actors in the hate-speech show but never analyzed as institutions in their own right.
Standing problems and gaps
- Admiration vs. exploitation. The author admires Netanyahu while acknowledging Israel is "ass-raping" America. The reconciliation is "blame ourselves," but the moral status of the exploitation is left unresolved. The domestic-shield reading sharpens the problem: if Israel's chief function is to insulate a domestic coalition from political pressure, the admiration for Netanyahu's ethnic self-defense and the diagnosis of Israel as an instrument of American domestic control pull in opposite directions.
- The protection test vs. the Netanyahu admiration. The test makes Catholic protection conditional on halakhic observance and non-violence, which places unapologetic armed self-defense on the far side of the line. This is the first formulation in the corpus that makes the admiration theologically costly rather than merely awkward, and the article does not resolve it.
- Commanded non-violence vs. halakhic self-defense. "Live by the law or die on the cross" has the halakhic polity defending itself as a matter of law; the protection test and the Cyrus capture both have the Jew forbidden to fight back as a matter of the same law. Both readings are held and they are not compatible.
- Mercy demands one state; the corpus proposes resettlement. If restitution is paying the wronged party to go away and mercy is including him in one's community, then the two-state solution is the sacrificial option and the single state the merciful one. That verdict follows from the author's own theology of the atonement and collides directly with the hardened resettle-in-Libya proposal and the thirty-percent arithmetic. Either the mercy principle is a rule for individuals and not for polities — which the corpus nowhere argues and which the encounter model resists — or the harder proposals are the sacrificial model the Messiah is said to have superseded.
- The Cyrus frame is not falsifiable in its usual form. Any secular power hostile to the Church can be read as a candidate vehicle, and nothing distinguishes a Cyrus summoned to liberate the Spirit from an ordinary anticlerical state pursuing ordinary anticlerical interests. The frame is a powerful reading of motive available to an ideology and is not evidence that anyone holds it.
- Five readings of Zionism. Savior of Christianity from liberalism, golden-calf nationalism, self-regulating Protestantism, domestic shield for an American coalition, and now the party whose logic requires a Cyrus. The last is the most structurally specific about why Zionism needs a foreign king; the article holds all five.
- The closure of prophecy cuts both ways. If Malachi ends the mechanism for updating the law and only Christ or the Messiah reopens it, then the corpus's own praise for rabbinical Judaism as co-guardian is praise for a guardianship that cannot revise its deposit — which is the heavy-keel-no-sail diagnosis of the-logos-machine stated as a compliment. The article should say whether guardianship without revision is a vocation or a predicament.
- The manufactured-kingmaker argument is corrosive in both directions. If David created Nathan's office and Solomon created Zadok's in order to legitimize their own succession, then the same suspicion is available against any authority that anoints a ruler — including the one the corpus wants restored, and including the papacy that summons a council in the Emperor's absence. The Anglican inversion is offered as the deformation; the argument does not obviously stop there.
- Judeo-Protestant as coinage. The capture's own labels for the type are cruder than anything the article reproduces, and the article records the structural argument rather than the epithets.
- Useful opposition and falsifiability. Reading Hamas, the Houthis, and Hezbollah as useful opposition is analytically powerful and consistent with the corpus's "kick the dog until it bites" reading of Red Sea strategy. But a frame in which effective opposition would look identical to useful opposition is difficult to test. The article holds it as diagnosis, not proof.
- Catholic-Orthodox-Jewish kinship vs. anti-judaizer rhetoric. The single-covenant frame makes Catholics and Torah-observant Jews structural allies against dual-covenant Protestantism; the older "anti-judaizer" frame treats Judaism as a partial truth to be universalized. Both readings preserved.
- Shared liturgical year vs. theological difference. The calendar overlap is real and rich; the article holds it as devotional kinship rather than theological equivalence.
- Personal taste vs. political alignment. The author professes affection for Arab/Islamic culture as "more interesting… more esoteric and mathematical" while siding politically with Israel against communist-aligned Palestinian leadership. Aesthetic and geopolitical verdicts pull opposite ways.
- Talmud-good-bits vs. Maimonides-as-harmless. The single-covenant frame supplies the reconciliation — Torah-observant rabbinical Judaism is licit because it interprets the law within its rightful authority.
- Holocaust framing. "Holocaustianity" treats the Holocaust as cynical religion;
raw/keep/first-the-came-for-the-jews.mdreads Holocaust-fixation as the only-permitted form of Jewish ethnic solidarity inside the econo-zone — a more sympathetic structural reading. Both register. - Cofnas / emulate vs. group-strategy critique. Two readings of the same behavior; the article keeps both as valid descriptions at different levels.
- Hardening over time. The drift from soft two-state-with-power-transfer to hard resettlement is a real change in position the article should not smooth over.
- Four kinds of modern Jew vs. two other typologies. The heretic / assimilated / religious / communist scheme does not map cleanly onto the Israel-Judea split or the real-Judaism-against-Judeo-Protestant pair. Its useful contribution is placing the third-temple project on the heretical side.
- Gap: AIPAC and ADL as institutions. Named, never analyzed.
- Gap: Jewish migration history. Implied via the Jewish-finance / Reformation thread (
raw/keep/indulgences-were-good.md) but never narrated as sequence. - Gap: Torah as positive content. Engaged mostly contrastively; the real-Judaism material and the closure-of-prophecy argument are the first substantial positive statements, and both are descriptions of what the law demands and cannot do rather than of what it says.
